I’m Gavin Figert—a UX designer, content strategist, and big believer in doing things the right way.
I am also an artist, athlete, and the favorite human being of my dog Buddy! I’m fueled by curiosity and creativity in all forms—exploring new ideas, staying active, and taking time to appreciate the process just as much as the outcome.

My Early Life
Growing up I was always a creative person, excelling in my art and design classes in high school while consistently exploring new forms of creation such as video making, costume making, and eventually settling on design. This led me to UNT where I sought to leverage my creativity into skills that could set me up for a successful career.
My Time at UNT
I attended the University of North Texas from 2021-2025, graduating with a BFA in User Experience Design. Alongside UX, I studied topics such as psychology, philosophy, and marketing, all of which have supported my growth as a designer and understanding of what kind of person I want to be.
My Early Career
In December of 2024, I began working alongside my friend Myles Anderson to develop a freelance design agency known as Blue Dot Creative. As the Lead Strategist with Blue Dot Creative, I have worked alongside Myles to provide design services for small, purpose-driven teams.
